Switch from Quicken, and keep your whole history

Every account, category and transaction from a single QIF export, with each balance checked against Quicken's to the cent. In the cloud, shared with your household, on a complete free plan.

How the switch works

  1. Export from Quicken. In Quicken for Windows: File → Export → QIF File, choose <All Accounts>, leave the dates as they are, and tick every box under "Include in Export". On a Mac: File → Export → QIF File, with all accounts, transactions and categories.
  2. Create your free Kemback account and choose Switch from Quicken.
  3. Check what's coming across. Kemback shows each account with Quicken's balance beside it, and where each one goes.
  4. Bring it across. Kemback checks every balance against Quicken's to the cent, and tells you plainly about anything it left behind, like investment accounts.
  5. Build a budget from your history, in one click, and add your bills.

Questions about switching from Quicken

Will my whole Quicken history come across?

Yes. Export a QIF file with all accounts from Quicken, and Kemback brings across every bank, card and cash account with its categories and transactions, checking each balance against Quicken's to the cent.

What doesn't come across?

Investment accounts, classes, memorized payees, securities and price history aren't brought across yet. Kemback lists anything it left behind, with what to do about it.

Does Quicken keep my data?

Yes. Exporting doesn't change anything in Quicken, so you can keep it until you're happy.

Can I import more later?

Yes. Importing the same file again adds only what's new, so nothing is ever duplicated.

Is it free?

Yes. Switching and everything you need afterwards is on the Free plan.
